Interceding for Louisiana
Government
We are excited about
the ministry of intercession for our government that God is establishing in
the State of Louisiana through Intercessors for Louisiana (IFL).
We formally organized in the year 2000 and now have intercessors and
Pastors from all over the state praying with us on a regular basis for our
state.
Our
State Capitol is one of only a few in our nation that has a Prayer
(Meditation) Room. It was established in 1974 and is open to the public from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. We encourage you to visit it . We invite you
to meet there with us each Tuesday at noon and on the 2nd Tuesday night of
each month at 7 p.m. in one of the Legislative Committee Rooms.
God
is bringing changes to our state, even to tearing up old foundations and
laying foundations of righteousness and truth. We pray that you will be a
part of the work that God is doing by praying with us and encouraging others
to join us.

Message from IFL Director
Speaking to God is no small thing; having Him reply is sovereign and
awesome. There was a time in history that the Lord was silent to His
people. How dark that must have been! A time without His Voice, a time
without His Words, a time of uncertainty. We do not live in such a time
where God is silent. God is speaking in every area of life to those who
seek Him and the government is no exception. This is really about
authority. Who do we want to be in charge of our affairs as a state in
these United States of America? Who will we submit ourselves to as a state
in this great nation? It is our prayer at IFL that the leadership of this
state both now and in the future would submit to Jesus Christ because all
authority has been given to Him both in heaven and on earth.
We in Louisiana
have always affected this nation. We sometimes think we have been so small
in a big picture when the truth is we have much affect. Let’s pray for
our affect to be good and gracious. That it would strengthen and gird up
that which is weak. I believe God is calling Louisiana to lead in this
time; to be precedent setters for good and not evil. It’s been said that
in order to lead good, one must follow good. We could not follow any as
good as God.
We decree
Isaiah.33:22 - “For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the
Lord is our King. He will save us.”
